G-R-E-E-N-?

Nuit Blanche - Bruxelles (BE) | 02.10.2010

Like other living species invading urban spaces, XXIth century is time for human beeing to make cities an appropriate place for mankind! This is what G-R-E-E-N-? suggests in a play-and-roundabout way:
The performance starts at dawn. A person gets up on a scaffholding, and starts sticking small red lights on a facade with slow, measured gesture. First one thinks it is just decorative elements. After a while the word GREEN, with a ? is readable. Once finished, the inscription keeps on the facade the whole night.
The inscription is made on a wall with LED Throwies: simple LEDs clipped on a button battery, sticked on the wall. It can keep lighting 48 hours.
